Meet The Staff

Wendy Young (Manager)

Wendy is a qualified primary school teacher and worked primarily in Key Stage 1 and the Foundation Stage for 9 years before having 2 children of her own.  She has worked at Fallodon Playgroup since 2010 when her youngest started school. She likes gardening, baking and the seaside. In 2017 Wendy completed her level 3 Forest School Leader qualification and loves our Fallodon Playgroup Forest School sessions.

Helen Barnett (Manager)

Helen is a qualified Early Years teacher and a secondary school teacher. She is a mother of four children, all of whom attended Fallodon Playgroup. She likes singing, reading and hula hooping!

Flora Cahill (SENDCo)

Flora is a qualified Primary School Teacher. Flora joined us in the summer of 2017.  Flora loves being outside and will often be found digging in her garden.  She loves cooking, reading and having a go at crafting and is also an expert ‘train track’ builder and sand volcano creator!

Gail Dufty (Key Person and Play Worker)

Gail is an NNEB qualified professional with over 20 years of childcare experience. She lived and worked in Canada for eight years, loves nature and has a small zoo (of pets) at home.

Vicki Kindred (Key Person and Play Worker)

Vicki is a qualified Primary School Teacher with many years experience, lots of it teaching Reception children, so she really understands what is needed to help them be ‘school ready.’ Vicki has worked at Fallodon Playgroup since 2017.  She likes going for walks with her dog Chester, going out for meals with friends and pottering in her garden.

Kizzy Ruxton (Key Person and Play Worker)

Kizzy has been involved with Playgroup since her oldest son started in 2015. She has 4 children who, all attended Playgroup and she is now completing a Level 3 Early Years Qualification and joined the staff team in 2021.   Previously Kizzy was a ballet teacher for 14 years. She loves reading, the theatre and the seaside.

Pauline Crocker (Finance and Administrator)

Pauline has worked at Fallodon Playgroup since 2012 and looks after the finance and administration matters. In 2020 she completed a Masters Degree in Early Years Education and enjoys combining her interest in early years with her love of a spreadsheet!  Pauline has 2 grown sons and loves spending time with her family, eating out and reading.
