The links below are for some of the policies and procedures we follow at Fallodon Playgroup.  The full range of policies are kept in our purple Policy Folder, which can be found on the table in the entrance area to Playgroup.  The policies and procedures are in place to ensure that Playgroup is a happy, healthy and safe place for you to leave your children. If you have time, we would recommend that you have a look at some of the policies in the folder.  If you have any questions regarding any of the content, please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff.

Here is a really useful site you might like to use  at home – lovely videos and ideas for communication and chat with under 5’s, including babies and toddlers Small Talk

Bristol Early Years and Bristol City Council have put together some helpful tips for Parents and Carers Learning together at home with under 5’s

Bristol Early Years have also produced a very useful document that focuses on the importance of play and gives parents/carers some ideas for games to play as well as ideas to support emotional well-being and activities to support the 7 areas of the EYFS. Playing at home for parents and carers

The Hungry Little Minds  campaign features tips and practical activities that parents can do at home with children to support their early learning.

The BBC’s Tiny Happy People has a range of simple activities and play ideas to help you develop your child’s communication skills.

The National Literacy Trust has a family zone with a range of activities based around popular children’s books. Books featured in the Birth to 4 age group include classics like Elmer and The Very Hungry Caterpillar and a particular playgroup favourite – Whatever next by Jill Murphy.
